Tijmen Bakker – Director
Tijmen earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam (UvA). His entrepreneurial journey with Lightcore began with the Faculty of Impact programme, a significant personal grant aimed at transforming researchers into entrepreneurs, underlining his commitment to innovation and sustainable technology.
Klaas van Leest – Technical Director
Klaas also has an impressive academic record with a PhD Cum Laude from UvA and secured NWO funding for a postdoctoral position in Hong Kong. Together, Tijmen and Klaas, who share a strong friendship and professional rapport, are the driving force behind Lightcore, blending scientific acumen with entrepreneurial spirit to revolutionize the way we utilize light as an energy source.
